Personal letter from Joe's parents, John and Glyndell Houston
Hi, I'm Joe's mom, and I speak for his dad as well. We wanted to share with you that our son, Joe, is not eternally lost, just physically lost. He gave His life to Jesus Christ and is living eternally with Him whether physically still on this earth or not. He is safe, secure, loved and kept by the hand of God Himself.
It is our wish that anyone reading this blog or connected with this journey in any way have that same assurance from Christ that when you die you will be absent from your body, but eternally present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
If you cannot say this about your life and you haven't given your heart to Jesus Christ, please call one of us and talk to us. We will be overjoyed to discuss this with you. Contact Amy on this blog and she will help us get in contact with you. Jesus is pursuing His lost child even more than we are pursuing our lost child. Please take time to consider this for yourself.
Read 2 Corinthians 4 [whole chapter]
Love and prayers,
Glyndell & John Houston

Completely amazed at your outlook. Thank the LORD for the gift of His Son, Jesus.
My prayers are still with your family.
Glory be to God! You are ambassadors for Christ! Brave and true. I lift you up in prayer as you are glorifying the Father that your hearts be comforted.
If Joe is indeed passed on, we know it is only to a new assignment. Joe was true to his assignments. A man of honor not shirking his duty as some are apt to do.
We will all one day be reassigned from our current calling here on this earth. Knowing Joe, and his love of the Lord...I know he would have it such that we all would have the security and knowledge of knowing the living savior that I'm sure Joe is proudly serving now. I'm sure he would want you all to reach out and accept his Mom and Dad's invitation to talk with them about getting to know this living savior whom Joe proudly serves. Do it now. We never know when we will receive our new orders.
Mr. & Mrs. Houston,
Your outlook on the entire situation surrounding Joe's whereabouts is humbling, amazing, and ultimately glorifying to our Lord. All of you will be in my prayers until good news is received about Joe's whereabouts! God has truly given you the "peace that passes all understanding." Praise Him!
I don't know Joe but I am writing a tribute for him in Houston Christian's newspaper, and when I came across this site, I was amazed by your passion and enthusiasm. While deeply sorry for your loss, I am overjoyed that there are Christians like you who are so inspiring to people like me. Your son was truly a blessing for so many to have in their lives, as I am finding out from teachers who taught Joe and friends as well. Thank you for living your lives for Christ and let the peace of knowing where your son is fill you during this trying time.
